Family Holiday Traditions

In recent years the Christmas Holiday has quickly made its way to the top of my favorite holiday list.  This is a time that my entire family, from grandparents to the smallest of cousins all get together for great food, awesome fun times and many laughs from the early afternoon to late into the night.

We are not a typical family. As our family has grew over time and with many celebrating the holidays in multiples with immediate family, parents and even in-laws, we’ve adapted our family gathering. Long gone is the traditional turkey, stuffing mashed potatoes and gravy. Instead we’ve created our own special tradition.

  1. Is it nearly Christmas already? It seems to be coming around so fast and I have done practically nothing to prepare. I have made a Christmas cake though, so that’s one tradition ticked off the list.

    1. One step at a time. I do agree that the holiday season kinda appeared quickly.

  2. What a great idea! We still keep things quite traditional as we tend to visit family. I’m hoping when we start to host Christmas we can shake things up a bit!
