Jammin’ With Jamberry Nails – Review

I was recently asked by a Jamberry Consultant if I would be interested in providing a thoughtful review in exchange for free sample package of these Jamberry Nails.

First off let me start by saying I am probably one of the most laid-back women on the face of the earth when it comes to beauty – this goes from my hair to my nails.  I am no beauty trendsetter and have never had a professional manicure in my entire life, but I do admire a cute nail — okay so it’s on my little toes, but it’s all the same right?

Let me tell you about this intriguing invention. Each cover is designed to add a little creativity to your nails for a long-lasting manicure that will not cause any damage to your natural nail. Each designed sticker is made from vinyl; that means that not only is it waterproof and odor-free but it’s tried and tested to be long-lasting. There are many designs to choose from that will leave you wanting more.

My thoughts on Jamberry…

While the brilliant and beautiful designs had me captivated, the application process made me anxious – I really thought it was going to be difficult and take forever to apply — it didn’t. The application instructions are super easy to follow and are located on the back of each package or on their website. They also have an official application video, a tips & tricks video, and removal videos.

After watching the application video, I felt confident enough that this was a task that I could accomplish. So I gathered the designs, the hair dryer and called out to my daughter in hopes that she would be just as interested in having her nails beautified. She glanced over the artistic designs and once she spotted one she liked .. we got right down to it.

Step 1: First we carefully matched up the nails to the wraps. Once we knew what sizes we would be working with it was time to nail prep. So we pushed back the cuticles, buffed them, wiped them clean and dried them.

Step 2: Next, it was time to cut the wrap in half. Then using the wooden stick, I held the wrap under the hair dryer for a few seconds. It didn’t take long to see that the was feeling the heat. Then I placed the nail onto Kira’s nail, pressing down with my thumb for a few seconds.

Step 3: Cut with scissors the excess on the end and, using a nail file, file in a downwards motion until anything extra is removed. Heat again for another few seconds and apply more pressure

Step 4: Repeat until all nails are looking fabulously covered in Jamberry Nail Wraps.

The innovative designs and easy application process are great for any busy woman. These perfectly and unique designs are a great alternative to those fancy high-priced manicures. Did I mention that Jamberry Nails can last for up to 2 weeks on your fingernails and up to 4 weeks when placed on those toes? Gather your friends together with a glass of wine and it makes for a fun evening in. Even the kids will have a blast with their own special designs and sizes made just for them.

  1. I like it. I think it’s a convenient way to dress up your nails without having to damage them with nail polish. My nails easily feels dry after I apply nail polish and it usually takes time to recover from the cracks. I would definitely use this instead.

  2. Cute, I love the black and gold. I would definitely need a tutorial as well to be able to do this…I actually have some adorable wraps but I don’t know how to use them..or think I have the right nail shape/quality to pull them off??

  3. Thanks so much for doing the review! Jamberry is a great product which is easy to do at home. Thanks for sharing with your readers.

  4. I’ve heard a lot about these. I really like the designs but I rarely put anything on my nails. I’d pick some up for my daughter, who loves nail polish and things like this.

  5. I had no idea they were made from vinyl. I remember when the concept of “stick on polish” was all the rage! It’s come a long way. My girls are forever making messes with nail polish, so I may have to look into Jamberry for some relief.

  6. I stopped wearing nail polish a long time ago because of all the toxic ingredients, but the Jamberry nails look safe and pretty, I may have to give them a try.

    1. Hi Cara,

Our Nail Lacquers are “5 free,” which means they are made without the use of Toluene, Formaldehyde, Dibutylphthalate (DBP), Camphor or Formaldehyde Resin).

The wraps are all non toxic, latex free, gluten free and cruelty free.
