Our Weekly Menu No. 14

Whoa, the weekend is finally over, and the dust is starting to settle. We had a jam-packed couple of days between hockey games and exploring our great city. If you missed our previous post, yesterday we visited Tag Zone and had such a fantastic family fun day. We all had a blast and the day couldn’t have turned out better.

On the flip side of being super busy all weekend, I didn’t spend too much time focused on the weekly menu. I’m about to wing it with whatever ingredients and items we have in our stockpile.

As always, please remember, I post my weekly list to encourage menu planning and to give meal ideas, not as a nutritional standard. You should feed your family based on your priorities and values.

Here are the selected meals for this week.

Monday: Chunky Spaghetti Sauce & Pasta
Tuesday: Simple Roasted Pork Shoulder and frozen vegetables
Wednesday: Broccoli and Beef with Rice
Thursday: Potatoes and Mushroom Covered Pork Chops
Friday: Glazed Meatloaf and Pasta Noodles
Saturday: Beef Stew
Sunday: Swiss Stuffing and Chicken

There you have it, the full list of meals that we will be serving for dinner this week. If you have a favorite recipe let me know and I’ll try to add it to a future meal plan.

  1. Just love these simple menu ideas. I think, as a busy mama, it’s so helpful to plan ahead – that way I’m not running to the store multiple times and getting stuck as to what dinner is going to be! 🙂

  2. It is amazing how you plan your meals in advance. I wish I could do that, I always end up cooking something that I have not planned.

  3. Those are such delicious and nutritious meals! You planned it very well! That’s great. Got good ideas here 🙂

  4. All of the meals look delicious! I need to get more organized and plan on a weekly basis. It really is a lot less stressful. Thank you for the ideas.

  5. I’m a pescatarian, so I would love to see some shrimp or fish added into your menu plan. Wild caught salmon is always wonderful – with a little lemon, wrap it in parchment and bake it. Serve over fresh spinach. It’s one of our faves and so easy.

    1. Unfortunately the only seafood lover here is my husband. So it doesn’t make sense for me to include it.

    1. Taco baked potatoes sounds delicious. Between my husband and my teen son there is rarely leftovers.

  6. I need to start doing this! Everyday I open cupboards and the fridge, hoping something will jump out at me, usually ending with me running to the grocery store, and inevitably becoming victim to impulse buys.

  7. Oh my goodness! Everything you’ve got planned for this week looks AMAZING!!! I might steal a few ideas while I meal prep for this week, too! 🙂
