Wowsers, just one more week before Christmas and I still have so much to do. There are presents to be wrapped, stockings to fill, cookies to bake and let’s not forget I still have to grocery shop.
This week’s menu is pretty simple; we are incorporating some new kid-friendly meal suggestions all while still using many of the ingredients we have in our stockpile. Yes, we’ll be eating a nice juicy Pork Shoulder again at some point this week, you remember my crazy adventure to Costco right?
This week we had to grocery shop for the remaining meals in last week’s plan and the meals in this week’s menu. Of course, these are meal suggestions to encourage weekly meal planning. This is not as a nutritional standard, and you should feed your family based on your priorities and values.
Here are the selected meals for this week.
Monday: Tomato Soup and Grilled Cheese Sandwiches (you can also add bacon to the sandwiches)
Tuesday: Chicken Stir-Fry (recipe adapted from hip2save.com)
Wednesday: Sweet Ham and Swiss Sliders with vegetables
Thursday: Crockpot Ravioli Casserole
Friday: The Famous BBQ Pork Shoulder with mashed potatoes
Saturday: Crispy Chicken Ranch Snack Wraps
Sunday: We are having Christmas Dinner with my parents.
What is your best kid-friendly dish?
